The Sister Cities Friendship Club of Elkader invites you read its story to learn how a small community of some 1500 inhabitants can positively affect the world by promoting peaceful projects with the citizens of Mascara, Algeria. Elkader, Iowa is one of the smallest cities in the Sister Cities movement and is currently the only U.S. city to have a sister city in Algeria. Sister Cities July 4-5 International Celebration
