Free Yard Waste Pick Up - Spring 2009
The City of Elkader will offer a free yard waste pick up. Dates have not been set.
Yard waste should be bagged, boxed or bundled and placed by the curb or in the alley near your residence. Boxes that are wet or open containers of wet leaves will not be picked up.
In addition, please avoid mowing or blowing grass clippings or leaves onto the streets. Grass and leaves may clog storm drains which would not allow for proper drainage of city streets during heavy rains. Your cooperation in these matters is greatly appreciated.
